At Ferrellgas, we’re family. When a charity or cause is connected to our Employees, we try to offer our support. These custom-painted trucks show our commitment to nonprofits and other worthwhile causes that affect our fellow Employee-Owners in the communities we serve.
This truck raises funds that directly benefit the ALS Association chapters in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Each year, nearly 7,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with ALS, a progressive and debilitating neurodegenerative disease. Let’s work together on finding a cure!
Badger Honor Flight Truck
Ferrellgas proudly supports various veteran and military causes. Badger Honor Flight provides World War II veterans in Wisconsin the chance for a free trip to the World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C.
AllenForce serves veterans from all eras by providing networking, fitness, and recreational opportunities. The nonprofit is named after Cpl. Donald P. Allen, who served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1952-54.
Stay the Course Truck
Stay the Course helps our nation’s veterans and first responders fighting invisible wounds. This Texas-based nonprofit provides guidance through therapy sessions and offers community resources to help with the recovery process.
Breast Cancer Awareness Trucks
These three trucks — Sue, Lisa, and Susan — were named for Employees and their family members who have fought against breast cancer. The vehicles serve communities around Louisville, Kansas City, and Florida.
Alzheimer’s Awareness Truck
This truck raises funds that directly support the Alzheimer’s Association of West Tennessee. More than 5 million Americans are currently living with this disease, making it the sixth leading cause of death in the United States.
Paws & Stripes Truck
This special bobtail delivery truck serves the area of greater El Paso, Texas. It benefits Paws and Stripes, a nonprofit that provides service dogs to wounded veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Granite Mountain Hotshots Truck
This truck commemorates the 19 fallen firefighters of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, members of the Prescott Fire Department. These Arizona firefighters lost their lives in 2013 while battling a 2,000-acre forest fire. It was the worst loss of life for a wildland firefighting crew in more than 80 years.
Kansas City Crime Stoppers Truck
This truck helps put bad guys behind bars. Kansas City Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit that allows citizens to anonymously provide tips to law enforcement. Preventing and solving crimes helps make Kansas City a better, safer place to live.
American Red Cross Truck
The Houston Area Chapter of the Red Cross provides service to more than 6 million people in 10 area counties. This truck benefits this historic humanitarian nonprofit, which provides care, shelter, hope, disaster relief, and preparedness services to so many.
Fallen Patriots Truck
This camouflage truck honors Cpl. Benjamin Ashley, who was killed in action in 2007 while serving his country in Iraq. Ashley was the son-in-law of a longtime Ferrellgas Employee, and proceeds from the truck benefit the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (CFPF).
Autism Awareness Truck
The vehicle proudly carries names submitted by Ferrellgas customers in the Richmond area of children and adults on the autism spectrum. It also includes the names of Ferrellgas employees' loved ones affected by autism. Autism is a complex developmental disability that affects a person's ability to communicate and interact with others.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Benefit Truck
This truck honors Brittini Cape, daughter of Ferrellgas driver Dave Cape, in Salem, Illinois. Brittini is undergoing treatment for leukemia, and this truck will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Illinois chapter.
Desert Camouflage Truck (Navy Wives’ Food Locker)
This truck is dedicated to the memory of Air Force Staff Sergeant Timothy L. Bowles, who was killed in action in 2009 while serving his country in Afghanistan. His father, Louis, is a Ferrellgas driver in Pecos, New Mexico. The truck raises funds to benefit the Navy Wives’ Food Locker, a charity that provides food pantry services to the families of deployed area service men and women.
Multiple Sclerosis Truck
This truck — nicknamed “Big Steve” after a longtime Ferrellgas employee — honors his fight against multiple sclerosis (MS) and benefits the MS Society. MS is a chronic disease that attacks the central nervous system, and its symptoms and severity vary greatly. In the United States there are approximately 400,000 people who live with MS, with 200 more diagnosed every week.
Blue Rhino USO Truck (United Service Organizations)
This specially-designed, camouflage-themed grill cylinder delivery truck from Blue Rhino benefits the Puget Sound area USO centers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, as well as area events. These efforts reach nearly half a million military personnel and their families each year.
This truck stands for diabetes prevention and education, and it benefits the Missouri- and Arkansas-area chapter of the American Diabetes Association. The truck carries the names of the late Russell and Michael Wilson, brothers of a Ferrellgas employee.
