More than 35 local area employers will be participating at the first annual KC Job Fair, which is open to the public and will take place on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, in Kansas City. The KC Job Fair is developed and sponsored by Ferrellgas Partners, L.P. (NYSE: FGP), one of the nation's largest propane distributors and one of the Kansas City area’s largest companies.
The event provides an opportunity for job seekers to connect with local companies representing all industry sectors who are looking to hire talented employees across all levels of their organization. All proceeds from the job fair benefit the Women’s Employment Network (WEN), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing women with the skills and confidence to help them achieve economic independence for themselves and their families.

The KC Job Fair will take place from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Marriott Downtown in the Muehlebach Tower, which is located at 1301 Wyandotte, Kansas City, MO. In addition to networking opportunities with companies, there will be a career assistance area at the event that is organized by the Kansas City Recruiter Community. Attendees will also have the opportunity to visit with local colleges. Booth space for the event is still available. Companies can reserve a booth for the event for a $250 donation, which benefits WEN. The event provides an opportunity for companies to meet a diverse pool of candidates, while making an investment in the community.
