Ferrellgas Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Ferrell was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year for the Central Midwest Area at an awards banquet held June 4 in Overland Park, Kansas. The Central Midwest Area consists of businesses located or headquartered in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska.
As a result of the recognition, Mr. Ferrell becomes a finalist for Ernst & Young's National Entrepreneur of the Year honor. The national winner will be announced November 14 at ceremonies in Palm Springs, California.
