Special propane delivery truck to raise funds for military families

The Ferrellgas family was honored to dedicate a special bobtail propane delivery truck that recognizes and benefits the men and women serving in America's military. This special bobtail delivery truck will serve the greater San Diego area and raise funds for the benefit of the Navy Wives' Food Locker, a charity that provides food pantry-like services to the families of deployed service men and women in the area.

The bobtail was dedicated to the memory of Air Force Staff Sergeant Timothy L. Bowles, who was killed in action on March 15, 2009 while serving his country in Kot, Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. Bowles father, Louis Bowles, is a Ferrellgas driver in Pecos, New Mexico.

Ferrellgas is proud to employ more than 500 veterans nationwide, including Chairman Jim Ferrell. We are proud to provide support for military families in San Diego, and humbled to play a small role in honoring the memory of Staff Sergeant Bowles.
