Our location in North Wilkesboro, NC is looking for a Director of Operations.  The primary purpose of the role is to lead the Service Center Operations Management team to achieve service, quality and operational efficiency metrics.  This incumbent will manage the Logistics Supervisor, Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor, and Customer Service Manager.  This position typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10 or more years of management experience in an operational setting. 

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors and analyzes expense and operational metrics, for planning and performance.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on all operational management related issues
  • Hires, fires, and trains management staff.
  • Executes performance planning and management.
  • Owns service quality and efficiency performance.
  • Budgets by hours and productivity metrics.
  • Supports sales and marketing initiatives.
Requirement:
  • Bachelors degree in operations or business management
  • 10 or more years of experience in an operations leadership role
  • Customer service experience and orientation
  • Proven history of ethical business decision and integrity
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Competitive urgency and initiative
  • Positive discontent – demonstrate ability to raise the bar and exceed expectations in the work place
  • Solid business acumen including leadership, understanding of P&L and people development
